Sunnyvale Soccer - Registration

This spring, the Sunnyvale Soccer Association teams will play in the Forney Recreational League. All games for this league will be at the Forney Community Park. Older age groups may be part of inter-league play, and have games in other nearby locations.

All teams will be formed using buddy matches (if requested) for U6 and younger age groups and a blind draft for U7 and older age groups. The goal of player placement is to allow as many kids as possible to play soccer, while also setting teams up for success by filling the rosters.

All Sunnyvale teams will practice in Sunnyvale at Vineyard, Town Center, or Jobson Parks.

To be placed on a team, you must complete the Medical Release form and upload it AND your child's birth certificate or passport into their GotSport profile.

Steps to upload a document:

Log in to GotSport
Click on 'Account'
Click on 'Family'
Select child
Click on 'Documents' (on left side)
Click on '+ New Document' (green button, top right)
Select 'NTSSA Birth Certificat/Passport Upload - North Texas Soccer Association'
Click 'Go'
Select either 'Medical release' or 'Birth Certificate/Passport' from 'Document Label' menu
Choose file and upload
Save

Teams will be formed based on North Texas Soccer Association guidelines
- - For U6 and younger, this will be random, although buddy matches are allowed (requests for players to be on the same team as another player).
  - For U7 and older, returning players (from the past calendar year) will be assigned to their previous team, and new players will be randomly assigned based on order of sign-up and available spaces.
For players living outside of Sunnyvale city limits and not attending Sunnyvale ISD schools, the board may reach out to determine if placement on a Sunnyvale team is appropriate (e.g., the player lives just outside of Sunnyvale boundaries, and significantly closer to Sunnyvale than to other available recreational teams), and share information about neighboring teams/leagues so families can select the best location based on their preferences.
